What to do with an unanswered item
Send a specific request: “Please confirm whether electrical work is included in the quoted total. If it is provisional or excluded, please explain the likely additional work and how its cost will be agreed.” Keep the answer with your quote so you can compare the same information across proposals.
Frequently asked questions
Does every item need to appear in the quotation itself?
No. Some may be in supporting documents. What matters is that you can find and understand the relevant information before committing.
Should I stop if something is missing?
Ask for clarification. The significance depends on the item and the stage of the proposal.
Can I use this checklist after a survey?
Yes. It helps you check whether the final proposal reflects the survey findings.
Is the free check an installer inspection?
No. It reviews your documents; it does not inspect the property or installation.
Comparing more than one proposal?
Start with the free check. The optional Decision Pack brings up to three heat-pump quotes together, with scope labels, evidence gaps and questions for each installer.
